| The most famous red wines come from La Côte de Nuits, made up of a narrow band of hills south of Dijon, twenty kilometres long and at some points just 200 to 300 metres wide. Famous for its reds and featuring famous villages such as Gevrey Chambertin, Vosnee Romanee and Morey st Denis. Please click on the map regards wines from those communes that interest you. Its altitude varies from 230/260 metres to the south and 270/300 metres around Dijon, on sharp slopes (up to 25%). It covers 2500 hectares over 16 different villages. Villages include the great wine producing names Gevrey Chambertin, Morey St Denis and Vosnee Romanee. |
